To think of passing it before Easter they say ft to hope for the impossible, especially as Mr. Gladstone has approved of the plan for opposing it. by legitimate means. Anti-ooereion demonstrations have been- arranged, similar to those held at tke time of the Bulgarian atrooities. ANOTHER ATTEMPT OS THE" CZAR'S LIFE. St. Petersburg, April 1. It is now definitely known that an attempt on tha life of the Czar was made at Gatsohina on Tuesday last. His Majesty was passing through the park when he was fired at, but the shot narrowly missed its aim. The assailant, who is stated to be au officer in the Russian army, was arrested on the spot.
