THE ARMSTRONG CASE,

It is stated that proceedings have been commenced in the Queen's Bench Division of the High Court o£ Justice by Eliza Armstrong on the one hand, and by her father and mother on the other hand, against Mr. Henry Yates Thompson^ proprietor, Mr. Richard Lambert, publisher, and Mr. William Stead, editor of the Pall Mall Gazette; Mr. Brnmwell Booth, of the Salvation Army, and Dr. Heywood Smith, for libels on all the plaintiffs, and for assaulting and abducting tho girl Eliza. The statements of claim have been delivered to the defendants,. and the actions will shortly be ready for appearing in the cause lists. The damages claimed amount to about £8000.
