INGLEWOOD.
[from ottb o\rx correspondent.] Septembeb 17.— The final meeting of the present Town Board was held on Monday evening, the 13th instant. Present: Messrs. H. Brown (chairman), Franklyn, and Marsh. — Estimates of coat necessary for making proposed deviation of Lincoln Road through section 181, Moa, to Carrington■treet, was presented by the Board's engineer (Mr. R. H. Davies). It was decided to leave this question to the new Board for consideration. — It was reeolved to strike a rate of in the £ on all rateable property in the Town District. — Accounts amounting to £37 were passed for payment. !
The biennial election of members for the Town Board was held on Wednesday, the 15th instant, with tho result that the following candidates were elected:— Messrs. W. H. Fnmklyn, H. W. Marsh, J. C. Peach, G. S. Kennedy, and R. H. Suisted. At a ?>ecial meeting of the new Board, on hureday, Mr. Peach was elected chairman.
The Rev. Mr. Smalley and Mrs. Smalley held a temperance meeting in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, when a number of converts were made, over a hundred donning the blue ribbon.
