THE BULGARIANJRCISIS.

London, September 10. Earl Iddesleigh, Foreign Secretary, has summoned Sir Edward Thornton, British Ambassador, from Constantinople to discuss the situation arising out of the crisis in Bulgaria.

DEATH OF SAMUEL MORLBY.

Obituary : Samuel Morley, the well-known politician, aged 77.

GREAT POWERS CHECKMATING.

The great European Powers are at present engaged in exchanging views with regard to the political situation in Bulgaria. In the- House of Commons, to-day, Sir James Fergussonj Under-Seoretary for Foreign Affairs, in reply to a question expressed a belief that no Power would act in contravention of the Treaty of Berlin.
