[irROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] Jur.Y 17. — A meeting of tho Paribaka lioii i 130 ml was held at Rahotu oa Mon lay. Present: -Messrs. Anderson, (chairman), W. Bayly, Stevenson, Syine, jyiemiair, Alidrlleton, aivl Elwiu. — It was resolved that the Board manago reserves ; that jMr. La».vn proceed with his contract ; that Road Board take management of reserves ; and that £d. in tho £ be levied ou all property. — Tha Overseer reported on all tho roads in tho district, giving in detail all tha information required. He stated that the sum of £780 would bo available for expenditure by striking a£ I. rate. After some discussion, dining which tha overseer said ho waa prepared to give all his time at a fixed salary, the members appeared to think it would be advisable to appoint him permanently, performing the duties also of clerk aui treasurer. — It was resolved that the old office be sold at auctiou at the next Rahotu sale. — Four tenders for earthwork, &c, to the Kahui bridge aproaches wereopened, viz., Messrs. E. k. Morgan, 0. Sullivan, F. Wall, and John Gregory. John Gregory being the lowest, his tender was accepted. — Tho accounts were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned.
