» A CABLE MESSAGES. By Electric Telegraph — Reuters Copyright — Received 517J56— 3.30 p.m. BRITISH ELECTIONS. London, July 8. A Gladstoneite was elected for Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, in the place of Sturrock, a Conservative. Thomas Sexton, Nationalist, ousted Haslett, a Conpervative, for West Belfast. Conservative candidates were elected to former Liberal seats for — Wisbech, Cambridgeshire ; Stratford-on-Avon ; Leominster and Carnarvon, held by Eigby, Lord William Compton, Duckham, and Jones Parry respectively. Mr. Shaw Lefevre, Liberal, has been re-eleoted for Central Bradford. LATEST ELECTION RETURNS. The latest complete returns of the elections show 229 Conservatives, 49 Unionists, 117 Gladstoneites, 44 Parnellites. Osborne Morgan, Under- Secretary for the Colonies, was re-elected for East Denbigh by a very small majority only. ARRIVAL HOME OP TAINDI. The Shaw Saville & Albion s.s. Tainui, from New Zealand, arrived at Plymouth this morning. Her cargo of meat is in good condition.
