HARBOUR BOARD.
The Harbour Board met on Wednesday. Present: Mesers. King (chairman), Paul, Connelf, Bayly, Carrington, Shuttlewortb, Corkill, and York. ( Continued from yesterday) Drcchjc. — On Mr. Paul's motion, so- I conded by Mr. SnuTTLEWonrn, it was decided "That tho Engineer be authorised to get the necessary alteration executed j to the punt with a view to utilising same for dredging and other purposes ; also to ' procuro a new dredging bucket and chain." Wharfinger. — On Mr. Paul's motion, seco ed by Mr. King, it wns resolved, '• Ti' tho wharfinger's salary bo paid at tho ruto of £200 per annum from 30th June, providing that the Government pay one half tho aniount. Committee. — Mr. Connett moved, and Mr. Paul seconded, "That a Committee consisting of Messrs. Bayly, Paul, Corkill, Shuttleworth, theCiiairman, and the mover he appointed for the purpoßo oE considerin? and dealing with the matters of economy in tho officers and works generally."
