The Deputy Official Assignee applied for un order rolative to tho claim made by Messrs Weston, George, and Corkill for payment for services rendered to this estate. JJis Honor made the order as prayed for pa) went to tho supervisors and the AsDi^iiL-e of £4U remuneration out of the estate for their services in carrying on the business for four months, including Court tosts of this motion. Tho Wakatipu ib announced to call at the breakwater on Saturday week, tho 17th instant, and leave direct for Sydney. The body of Mr- Uriah Batchelor, who died enudenly in a boat on Wednesday morning, was placed upon the Hawea on Wednesday evening, and taken to Nelson for interment. Mrs. Batchclor nnd soino of tho family also went by the steamer to Nelson. The deceased had his life insured in the Government Office for £200. A mob of cattle wero being driven into town to-day by way of Courtnay-street, and wnen they reached Gover-strect they •were met by the children coming from th* Central School. The children at once begun to shout, with the result that tho cattle broke away, putting tho drovers to great trouble to round them up again. It seems hardly fair to drovers to allow children to troop through the struts like that,
