.N ALARMING.] DISEASE * AFFLICTING- A NUMEROUS CLASS.
pHE disc-aso commence 1 with a Blight L derangoment of the stomach, but, if eglcctod, it in time involves tbe whole rame, embracing the kidneys, liver, panreas, and, in fact, the eutiro glandular fstoin, and the afflicted draw out a miserble existence until doath gives reluf from iffcring. The diseaso is often mistaken for ther complaints j but if tho icmlor will ask iiusolf tbe following questions, ho will be ble to determine whether ho himself is one f tho afflicted: — Have I distress, pain, or iificulty in breathing after eating? Is there dull, heavy fooling, attended by drowsiness ? " v'b tho eyes a yellow tinge ? Docs a thick, •v mucous gather about tho guraa and Beth in tho mornings, accompanied by a dis greesiblo uisto ? Is tho tonguo coatod 1 , Is hero lam in the sides and back 1 Is there a ulness about tho right side as if tho liver rero enlarging? Is there costiveness? < Is here vortigo of ' difcriuess when rising sudierily from a horizontal position? Arß,the ecrotiona 1 from- the Uidneys scanty and highly lolourcd, with a deposit after standing? Does bod ferment soon after eating, accompanied >y flatulonoa or a belohing of gas fromjthe tomaoh .?. Is the.re frequent palpitation of the loatt? Thoso various symptoms may not be )resent at one time, but they torment jthe sufferer in turn as the dreadful disease progresses. If the case be ono of long standing, ih^re will be a dry, haoking coDgh, attended if tor a ' time 'by expectoration. In very advanced Btages the skin assumes a dirty brownish, appearance, and the hands and f'.et ire covered by a cold, stipky perspiration. &b the liver and kidneys become more and more diseased, rheumatio pains appear, and tbe usual treatment proves entirely unavailing against this, latter agonising disorder. The origin of this malady ia indigestion or dyspepsia, and a small quantity of the proper medicine will remove the disease if taken in its incipisney., It is most important tbat the iisaaso should bo promptly . and properly treated in its first stages, when a little medicine will effect a ouro, and even when it 'has jbtained a strong hold the correct remedy should bo persevered in until every vestige of ;ho disease is eradicated, until the appetite i&B returned, and tho digestive organs restored to a healthy condition. The surest and mo»t effeotive remedy for this distressing somplaint is "Seigel's Curative Syrup," a vegetable preparation sold by all Chemists tad Medicine Vendors throughout the world, md by the proprietors, A.
