After a long argument, His Worship held that the investments. in the totalisators -were nothing more than bets on racing, and therefore could not be recoVered. McLellan, who was liille*d on the Ofcago Central Railway, the evidence showed that the deceased slipped while levering at a stone, and fell some 40 or 50 yards, the stone falling on him and killing him.
