MEETING OF CREDITORS.
Tee meeting of creditors of James ILir', jun., hotelki-eper, a bankrupt, which was called for Thursd iy afternoon^ was not attended by a quorum, but tho debtor was examined 0:1 oath. Mr. Corkill, Deptuv OHici.il Assignee, occupied tho chair, Air. Samuel appeared on behalt of the debtor. The debtor stated that he had been in occupation of the Windsor Oastle Hotel for about fifteen months, but could give no detailed account ol! his ro'coipts, and he was not sufficiently accustonied to business to keep proper books und accounts. li« kad taken an interost in horse-raciutr, and had kept two horncs) but had, sold all the horses ho had a short time previously, and applied the proceeds to reducing the account owing on a mortsajre of his house. The bailiff had been put inbs"'the landlord a few dins ago, and six months rent was ovvinsr. The debtor was also questioned at, to tho consumption of beer and the average weekly takings, but could give no definite information on either points. Tho meeting tUvn terminated.
