The s.s. Hawea, Captain Uansby, arrived in the roadstead early this morning. She left Manukau on tho 2nd October, at 10.5 a.m., and arrived as above. Those who are desirous of seeing a better class of light horse bred in this district, will learn with pleasure that tho Governor arrived here on Monday last, and it has buuu decided to give breeders from Oakuru to Waitara, tho benefit of his services during tins season. To-day we have Been this splendid animal, and find him in splendid condition. It is really a pleasure to see auch a well bred and grand sized horse at the disposal of breeders here. He bids fair to the very popular, and wo learn that there arc numerous applications for his services.
