"There are nine cases for hearing, but none of v serious character. The charge to the Grand Jury occupied only three or four minutes, and no remarks of any importance were made. Dunedin, October I.— The Criminal Sessions opened to-day. Mr. Justice Williuins in his charge to the Grand Jury said they had but few cases to consider, and none of them presented any special dillicultios; .With respect to the case against the boys ltoy charged with liring guns at a passing train and killing a wan on the engine, it did not appear which lad had fired the fatal shot, but the ciicunistance that it was fired by one of them would justify a true bill being returned against both.
