The amounts received for me corresponding period of last year W ere : — Customs, £3,iJ90 12s. id. ; Uoer duty, £602 18s. Id. \ OcrouiiK 1. — Tho foundation stone of the new Masonic Hall was kid this moiniug by Brother N, B. Manley, W.M. of the Tougariro Lodge, assisted by Brother W. Bush, W.M. of the St. Andrew Kilwinning Lodge, in the presence of a largo crowd ot people. The weather was beautiful, and a great number of visitiug brethren were in town in addition to those of the two local Lodges. The affair passed oil" most bucCL'Sstully, and tho Lodges will soon be in possession of one of the linost halls in New Zealand.
An accident happened at Wlmiluta (near Panhaku) ou Friday lafat, to a constablo of tho A.O. Force named Jas. Francis. He was practising ut football when he fell and had his collar-bone broken.
