Sir, — With Cr. Bellringer I am perfectly satisfied to leave the matter in the hands of the burgesses, if they decide that racing and i\- vket shall be abolished. Personally, I will avoid some little trouble and a great deal of abuse ; but, on ihe other hand, I cannot help regretting that the public should be deprived of their time-honored national pastimes merely because it is objectionable to a small seotion of the community. — I am, &c, Jas. Paul, Hon. Sec. T. J.C.
