Captain Edwin telegraphed at 12.37 p.m. to-day —" Indications that glass will fall again after ten houra, with wind backing to north-east." Mr. William Walters, of Auckland, the well-known horse breeder and sportsman, had an apopletic fit yesterday, and a telegram states he is dangerously ill. The 8.8. Wanaka arrived in the roadstead at 7 o'clock this morning. She left Wellington at 4 p.m. on 31st August, Picton at 11 the same evening, and Nelson at mid-day on the Ist September. Experienced strong head winds, with heavy sea and thick rainy weather, from Nelson. . ,
