LARRIKINS AT HENUI,
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — The larrikin nuisance at the Henul is again becoming unbearable ; night after night I am being so worried by them that if the nuisance is not soon abated I shall be obliged to leave the locality. Last night about half-past eight o'clock my house was assailed by a regular volley of stones ; and, again, shortly before nine o'clock, another bombardment took place, more violent than the first. I have been annoyed by them in various other ways for several weeks past, but the annoyance has been of a milder character than that of last night. I hope this letter will induce the police not to ignore the Henui altogether but that in future they will consider it to be their duty to attend to the requirements of this end of the Borough of New Plymouth. — I am, &c, S. Gale. Henui, June 10, 1882.
