BELL BLOCK PLOUGHING MATCH.

A meeting was held in the school-room, at Bell Block, on Wednesday, June 7th, for the purpose of electing a Committee to carry out the district ploughing match. There were about forty persons present, Mr. Bennett being voted to the chair. The balance-sheet of the half year was then read, which showed a good balance in hand. It was proposed by Mr. G. Sampson, and seconded by Mr. W. F. Hoskin, "That the annual ploujrhing match take place in the vicinity of Bell Block — place and time to be decided by the Committee." Carried. The following gentlemen were then elected as a Committee to carry out the same :—: — Messrs. J. Morris, G. V. Tate, T. Clare, C. Hamblyn, S. Rundle, H. Rattenbttry, W. Raynor, A. Colson, O. Knuckey, H. Allenby, and — . West, sen. After a vote of thanks to the Chairman, the meeting separated.
