Tauranga County. — Pakeroa Block, near Maketu, Bay of Plenty, Maaiatutu Village, 55 sections, about 1 rood each, at an upset price of £30 an acre. ' Maketu Snrvey District. — Blocks viii, xi, xii, 32 sections, containing 5632 acres, at an upset price of £1 an acre. Waihi Sarvey District. — Block v, 11 sections, containiug 3476 acres, at an upset price of £1 an acre. Lands on Deferred Payments. Waihi Sarvey District. — Block ii, 19 sections, containing 3423 acres, at an upset price of £1 10s. per acre, will be open for selection on the " Deferred Payment System" on WEDNESDAY, the 21st June next. Note. — Applications for those Lands will be received at this office, and at the Land Offices at Tauranga and Gisborne. In the event of more than one application being received for any one section, the right to occupy the same will be decided by public auction on Monday, the 28th day of June. Description op Land.— The Maniatutu Village, situated on the future main road from Tauranga to Opotiki, is about the centre of the above lands, and is distant from Tauranga 23 miles, from Te Puke 11 miles, and from Maketu 5H miles, by partly-formed roads, the road from Kaikokopn to the village and onwards through the block being now under construction by Government. The lands in the Maketu and Waihi Sarvey Districts are all open, and consist of undulating fern hills running oat to swamps in the northern portions, whilst the southern blocks are more broken. The soil is light, the vegetation consisting of fern, tutu, and flax. The swamp lands are in many cases of a superior character.
