SHIPS ARRIVED FRM ENGLAND. Wellington, February 7. The ship Euterpe and barque Coromandel arrived from London this afternoon. MAN DROWNED. Dunedin, February 7. F. Jones, licensee of the Grand Pacific Hotel, was drowned in tbe surf at Ocean Beach this morning. It is supposed he committed snicide in consequence of mouetary difficulties. Bailiffs had been in the house since Friday. The body has not yet been recovered. FIRE AT CARTERTON. Carteeton, February 7. The stabling at the Carterton Hotel has been destroyed by fire. Insured in the Colonial.
