The plant is capable of throwing out six thousand tins weekly. DISAPPEARANCE OF THREE BOYS. Wellington, October 13. Three boys, who^e ages range between sixteen and fourteen, left their homes on Saturday morning, taking with them a horse, arms and ammunition. Nothing has been heard of them sines, but it is supposed they are in the Wairarapa District. The police are making enquiries. LUNATIC ABROAD. The lunatic who escaped from the asylum yesterday is still at large. MANSFORD GOES TO DUNEDIN. Mr. Marißford, R.M., left for Dunedin to-day, to undergo an operation on the throat. Should this have the anticipated effect, he will leave for England by the ship Rakaia. THE POLICE REDUCTIONS. The Post says that at a Cabinet meeting it was decided to give all the police inspectors and sub-inspectors recently dismissed for retrenchment sake the option of continuing in the service, either at a lower grade add lower salary, or else in the ranks, as may be found practicable. THE KYEBURN MURDER. Dunedin, October 13. Ah Lee still asserts his innocence of tho murder of Mrs Young. He is daily visited by tho Rev. E. Terrence, the gaol chaplain, and was this afternoon seen by Rawlott and Leung Chung. He continues in good health, bat does not seem to realise his unfortunate position.
