A HOAX, London, August 18. A report was current to-day that two barrels of gunpowder had been found in a railway tunnel under the Cork Barracks ; but on enquiry the whole thing proved to be a hoax. WOOL SALE. At the wool sales to-day, 10,600 bales ! were offered, making a total of 17,500 bales since the opening. The tone of the market showed a better demand, and prices were firmly maintained.
