HAWERA.

[telegraphed by our correspondent.] AUGUST IS. — The road blockade still continues. I hear that Natives are fencing in two or three different places. Te Whiti is reported to be anxious to stop the road by any means. The hapus around here are quite deserted, all the strong men having gone to Parihaka to help to fence. The surveyors on the Plains are getting on well. Mr. McKerrow, with the Chief Surveyor, visited the Plains on Monday and Tuesday.
