GENERAL CONDITIONS.
The Railway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of tbe Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tables, and in the event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the passengers. Luggage. — Each person is allowed to take 112ib8. of personal luggage free (not including merchandise of any Kiud), and for every 561bs. above the weight, for e*ery 50 miles or fraction of 50 mileß, the charge will be One Shilling. No luggage will be allowed to r>e taken into the Carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed uuoer the seat without inconvenience to other passengers. Paeseogers are strongly recommended to have thuir Names and the Station to which they are proceeding di.-tiuctly marked on their Luggage, and to ssitisf) themselves that it is placed on the 'Jraiu, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unless it is buoked and paid for. Passengers can be booked at Statious only on condition that there is room in the Train. Children under three years of age travel free above three and uuder fourteen years of age, half-price. Horses, Carriages, <fee. — The Railway Departmeut does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train ; but when gent, they must be at the Forwarding Station half-a'i-hour before the departure of the Train. 'Iheowneis of Horees must provide means for securing them in the horsebox, and the Railway Department wiil not be accountable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horiies. At Country Stations requisitions for hoise-boxes or carriage-trucks must be made tbe day before they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. 'Ihey will not be allowed in Carriages, and the Bender must obtain a ticket, to be given up befoiethe end of the journey, before the dog is delivered. Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Si ecial or Excursion Trains, except the ordinary Time Table is suspended. Return 1 ickets for distances not exceeding 25 miles are available on the day of i^sue ouly or each additional 25 miles or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowed. Ordinary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available as Return '1 ickets until the end of the following Monday, when re-dated as above. AH Tickets used for return later than the day of ise-ue must be presented at the Ticket Window, and re-dated- before the Pasficngets enter the Tiain for the heturn Journey.
