GENERAL CONDITIONS.

The Eailway Department does not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Traius at the exact times no.ified in the above Tables, and in the event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but does not undertake to forward the passengers. Luggage. — Each person is allowed to take 1121bs. of personal luggage free (cot including merchandise of any Kind), and for every 561bs. above the weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the charge will be One Shilling. No luggage will be allowed to tie taken into the Carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without inconvenience to other passengers. Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Names and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the Kailway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in tho Train. Children under three years of age travel free above three and under fourteen years of age, half-price. Horses, Carriages, &c— The Kailway Department does not undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train ; but when gent, they must be at the Forwarding Station half-an-hour before the departure of the Train. The owneis of Horses must provide means for securing them in the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not be accountable tor any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses. At Couutry Stations requisitions for horse-boxes or carriage-trucks must be made the day before they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them, 'lhey will not be allowed in Carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up befoiethe end of the journey, before the dog is delivered. Keturn or Periodical Tickets will not be availnble for Sj ecial or Excursion Trains, except the ordinary Time Table is suspended. Keturn 1 ickets for distances not exceeding 25 miles are available on the day of issue only or eaoh additional 25 miles or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowed. Ordinary biugle Tickets it-sued on Saturdays and buudays art available as Keturn 'lickcts until the end of the following Monday, when re-dated as above. All Tickets used for return later than the day of isfue must be presented at the Ticket Window, and re-dated before tho Passengers cuter the Train for the heturn Journey. Any person neglecting to get his Ticket re-dated will have to pay the ordinary Fare. Special Notice. — To ensure despatch, Parcels, Jixtra Lugguge, and Dogs must be at the Station Fifteen Minutes before advertised time of departure of Train. *
