GENERAL CONDITIONS. The Railway Department does not pledge it&elf to the despatch or anival of Ihe Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tables, aud iv the event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will returu the Fares paid, but does not uadertake to forward tlin passengers. Luggage. — Each person is allowed to take *1 1211)8. of personal luggage free (not includiug merchandise of any Kind), aud for every 561bs. above the weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the charge will be One Shilling. No luggage will be allowed to de taken into the Carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the seat without incouvenieuce to other passengers. Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Names and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to sntisf) themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the Railway Department will uot be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in tho Train. Children under three years of age travel free nbove three and under fourteen years of age, half-price. Horses, Carriages, &c. — The Railway Department does uot undertake to forward Horses and Carriages by any particular Train ; but when sent, they must be at the Forwarding Station half-an-hour beforo the departure of ! the Train. The owneis of Horses must provide means for securing them iv the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not be accountable iorany injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Hoifcca. At Country Stations requisitions for horec-boxes or carriage-trucks must be made the day before they are wanted. Dogs must be provided with chains, or other sufficient means of securing them. They will not be allowed in Carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up befoie the end of the journey, beforo the dog is delivered. Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Special or Excursion Trains, except the ordinary Time Table is suspended. Returu 1 ickets for distances not exceeding 25 miles are available on the day of iesue only or each additional 25 miles or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowed. Ordinary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays are available as Return 'iicLets uutil the end of the following Mondaj', when re-daled as above. All Tickets used for return later than the day of is^ue must be preseuted at the Ticket Window, aud re-dated before tho Passengeis enter the Train for the heturn Journey. Any persou neglecting to get his Ticket re-dated will have to pay the ordinary Fare. Special Notice. — To eusure despatch, Parcels, Lxira Luggnge, and Dogs must be at the Statiou Fifteen Minutes before advertiser! time of departure of Train.? *
