In the Hoa -e of Commons to-day, Sir Charles Di!!ce, the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, in replying to a question, said tho Gorman Government had iv no way encouraged the Garuiau officials to go to Turkey to undertake the reorganisation of that country's finance, but had cordially proposed co-operating with other European powers iv that direction. AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS. The cricket mateh — Australians v. 18 of tho Crystal Palace Clvb — was continued to-day on the Palace ground. The team continued their first innings, and were all disposed of fur 59 runs, ; being 96 behind their opponents. They t followed their inuinga, which closed for 97 {sic). The Australians theu went in, and when stumps were drawn bad scored 4 runs without losing a wicket. There was a capital wicket pitched, and the ground was in good order. The fioldiug of the Australians was excellent.
