Mails will bo closed at the Chief Post* office, Devon-atreot, m follows :— For Oakura and Okato closo at New Plymouth overy Wednesday and Saturday at 3 p.m., arriving at New Plymouth samo days at ' /IQa.m. For Inglewood, close at New Plymouth daily ■ 'at 3 p.m., arriving at New Plymouth daily at 10 a.m. Saturdays, 3,15 p.m. For Stratford, Midhirst, and Normanby, closo at New Plymouth on Mondays, , Wednesdays, and Fridays at G a.m., arriving at New Plymouth on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. for Hawera, Patea, Normanby, ' Ppunake, Wangnui, Wellington, and Southern Prorincea per coach oil Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, at 6 o'clock. For Bell Block, on Tuesdays and Fridays at 2.30 p.m. Closo at Bell Block for New Plymouth on Tuesdays and Fridays at 3 p.m. For Lepperton, close at New Plymouth on Tuesdays and Fridays at 3 p.m., arriving at New Plymouth on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10 a.m For Waitara, from Mondays to Fridays at 2.30 p.m. Saturdays. 4 p.m. For Urcnui, Pukcaruhc, and Mokau, closo at New Plymouth on Tuosdays and Fridays at 2.30 p.m., arriving at New Plymouth on Wednesdays at 12 noen. r&» Letters, &c, are delivered daily in Town by a letter-carrier at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (Bundays and public holidays excepted.) Travelling letter-boxes will be attached to the. train, to permit the posting of letters (with the proper postage affixed.) Letter receiving-boxes are fixed at Mr, W. Bcalc's, Brougham-street; and Mr. J. Pugh's, Devon-street, and will be cleared daily at 9 a.m. and 2 pan.*, and half-an-honr beforo the closing of the nails by the steamers.
