MUT UAL IMPROVE M E N T ASSOCIATION.

The opening entertainment, under the auspices of (he Mutual Improvement Association, was held last night in the Wesleyau .Schoolroom, when there was a large attendance of members and visitors, and the whole affair was a decided success. The proceedings were opened by an able address in support of the objects of the Association delivered hy Ihj Rev. Mr. M'Nicoll, the President, after which a miscellaneous programme of music, recitations, and readings wa=p, - oue through. Songs were sung by Messrs. Roberts, Veale, George, Humphries, and Garland. Recitations by Messrs. Hudson and Gaxiaud, ,aud a reading by Mr. George. The new organ, lately imported, was performed on by Mr. Cromwell ; and a very enjoyable evening terminated with the singing of the National Anthem.
