FORMATION OF VOLUNTEER FORCE
[from our own correspondent.] June 3. — A large and influential meeting took place last night, Major Stapp presiding. Fifty-five Volunteers were sworn in. Mr. John Elliot was elected ciptain ; Mr. G. V. Tate, first lieutenant ; Mr. F. Bayly, second lieutenant ; Mr. F. Bluck, colour-sergeant. A Finance Committee was also elected.
