Rates. — Mr. Govctt appeared for the Collector of Rates for the Moa District, and judgment was obtained against seveu absentees.

Adjourned Cases. — Hancock v. Jones. Adjourned to June 10. — Franklyn- v: Parker. Adjourned to June 17.

Judgment for Plaintiffs.— Joe. Ward v. M. Callaghan. Defendant complained that, no bill had ever been fururshed to him. Judgment for the plaintiff, 10s. -Id., with costs 15s. — Moller v. Edgecombe. Judgment for plaintiff. :'i"), and co its £1 ss.

JudgmentJ udgment Warrant. — Franklyn v. Heal. Defendant was ordered to pay £9 12s. 9d, in oae mouth, or bo imprisoned twenty-eight days in Nelson Gaol.

Dispute as to Charges.— W. Courtney v. W. Rowe. Mr. Roy for the plaintiff ; Mr. Hughes for defendant. Claim, £37 . 2s. for commission on sale of laud. Defendant adduced evidence which he allege 1 showe I that the plaintiff had not found a purchaser for the land, nor done anything in the matter. Judgment reserved.
