The lust division of profits took place ia 1874, and the cash surplus then divided amounted to £235,000, giving additions to polioies averaging £3 per cent, per annum on the sum aas'ircd. The bonuses paid on polioies becoming claims have varied from £15 percent, on the sum assured for a policy of five years' standing to £150 per cent, for one of twentylive years' duration. Bonuses become veßted additious to polioies when they have been full five years in foroe. The profit a realised during the last five years will be .ascertained and divided as nt 31st December next, and all polioies issned on or before that date will be entitled to particiate in the profits of quinqnenuium.
