T^HE whole of the profits are divided j X amongst the insured,- and bonuses to the amountof £910,000 have already been allotted. The last division of profits took place iv 1874, and the cash surplus then divided amounted to £235, 0U0, giving additions to policies averaging £'6 per cent, per annnm on the Bum nssnred. The bonuses paid on policies becoming claims have varied from £15 per cent, on tho sum assured for a policy of five years' standing to £150 per cent, for one of twentyfive years' duraiion. Bonuses become veßted additions to policies when they have been fnll five years in force. The profits reulised during the last five years will be ascertained and divided as at 31st December next, and all policies issued on or before that date will be entitled to particiate'iu the profits of quinquennium.
