By publishing • that document,. 'ybar" 1 contemporary becomes liable to be. prosecuted fpr libel, and if Mr. D. Atkinson and Mr. Richmond Hursthouse wish to clear themselves from the charge, they have now an opportunity' 1 of doing so ; otherwise the public here will be. inclined to;believe. tho police report in preference to the bare word 1 of either of them.—l am, &c, .
