The a!s. Arawata arrived at the Bluff this morning, at 7 a.m., with ihe Suez mail on board. Tho opening services of the new church erected at Inglewood for the members of the Anglican community, takes place this evening, at 6.30 p.m. Air accident happened last week to a young man name John Wheeler, at Inglewood. Wheeler and a lad were felling trees, when the tree upon which the boy was engaged foil against a 'fern tree, which struck Wheeler on the side, bruising him severely. He was brought into town by train on Saturday night to his sister's house. 1 On Sunday afternoon last, an accident happened to a resident of Fitzroy, named Armstrong. He and another man had started for Bell Block, when tho horse 3 bolted, and Armstrong, who had been riding bareback, wns thrown and severely cut. He was picked up insensible, and taken to his house at Fitssroy, where ho now lies.
