STALLION PARADE.
The first exhibition. 6f. horses held/.uudor tbe auspices of -tfig, Taranaki Agricultural Society, was held 'to-day in'tlie Society's Yard's, St. Aubyn Square, when, owing to several causes, thero was uot such a good attendance of the public as might havo been oxpected. Thero were only eight entries, but uo doubt next year the number will be increased. Hitherto tho entires have bqen allowed to parade iv the centre of the town, but that having been put a atop to, the Society wiU each year allow the show of entires to take place in their yards. Tho horses had assembled by half-past one, and wore " marched past" and continue to raovo for about half an hour, when the show was at an end, and tbe auimtils removed from the ground. The following is a list of those paraded :— , THOROUGHBREDS. Sir Walter, 6 years, by Raveusworth, out of Miuuie. — Vavasour Brothers. Bedouin, 6 years, by Traducor, out of Meg Mcrrilies. — Hamerton aud Paul. , Resolution, 5 years, by Pacific, out of Discretion, by Towton. — W. H. George. DRAUGHT HORSES. Loch Lomond,. 6 years, by Loch Ryan, out of Gipsy. — Vavasour Brothers. Young Locn Ryan, 7 years, by Loch ltyan. — D, Gordon. True Briton, 4 years, by Lofty. Warwick, aged.— T. E. Hamerton. Wellington Champion, 3 years, by Old Wellington.— Arthur Bayly.
