AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Sydney, July 4. — News from Solomon's Group states thnt the captain and crew of the schooner ' Dnucing Wave,' while engaged iv obtaiuiug labour for Queensland at Florida Island, were attacked by natives with tomahawks received in barter. The captain was killed almost immediately, whilst the chief mate and steward, after receiving numerous wouuds, shot themselves. One senmau escaped to a neighbouring island. The natives, after plundering the vessel, left her, aud she was recovered nnd brought on here. July 7. — A motiou of want of confidence has been tabled ngainst the Governmeut, who decline to proceed with auy business until the motion is settled.
