Taranaki Herald Office, September 3, 1875. Messrs. Pennington and Bundle report that at their Bale at Bell Block on the Ist September, there was a good attendance. About fifty head of cattle were penned, most of which were sold. Strong, well-grown steers fetched £8 Bs. each; dry cows, in poor condition, £4 10s. ; yearlings, £2 103. to £3; two-year-olds (mixed), £3 15s. to £4 55. ; two-and-a-half-year-old steers, £5 10s. Seventy aged ewes, in low condition, realized 9s. Gd. each. No bidding for horses. — On the 2nd September 78 head of fat cattle sold at from 18s. to £1 10s. per lOOffis. -
