PATEA,
EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Egraont, s.s., frjm Blind Bay, daily. Tongariro, p.s., from Wanganui, daily.
The schooner Clio arrived at Waitanrxn Monday last. Captain Chambers reports leaving Pelorus Sound on the 26th March, arriving at Wellington oa the 28th. Took in cargo for Waitara, and left again at 8 a.m. on the 31st March, with strong N.W. winds. Entered Tory Channel at 2.30 p.m., and came to anchor same night, in Dacre Bay. Left Queen Charlotte's Sound next afternoon, with light ensterly winds, which continued up to arrival at Waitnra. She entered the river on the following day. Messrs. Humphries' schooner Merlin, which sustained considerable damage during a gale of wind a short time ago, and was sent to Onehunga to bo repaired, is again ready for sea. She has been fitted with new stauchions ; her deck has been caulked; thirty feet of rail fixed, besides being supplied with the other necessary work to make her sea- worthy. The copper on her bottom haa also .been partly stripped, and new plates attached; so that she is now ready for any amount of work her owners may have for her to do.
