Dunedin, April C. Three men were brought up at Court yesterday for a broach of. the railway regulations, in getting into a carriage in motion through the window. The accused pleaded guilty, but the Magistrate dismissed the case as the railway regulations were deficient and did not meet the cuse. The Company is being formed with a view to purchase the Tokomairiro Pottery works now owned by •William White, and for conducting the manufacture of pottery and earthenware npon a scale large enough to supply both the New Zealand and the Australian markets. The proposed capital is £30,000, in 12,000 shares of £2 10s. each. Shares are likely to be taken up rapidly. The directory contains names of some of the best men in the district. The Harbour Board has accepted the tender of Messrs Kincaid and McQueen for new dredge, the amount being £19,650. Port Chalmers, April 8. Intelligence has been received by the Harbour Master that two Oregon pine beams 15 feet long, a boat chock, and some cabin sofa cushions, have been picked up on the beach during the day.
