Treasury, Wellington, April 9, 1874. rPENDERS are invited for the purchase I of the whole or any portion of Fifty Thousand Pounds New Zealand Government Debentures, issued under the Act of the Legislature of the Colony, entitled, " The Westland Loan Act, 1873." By the Acfc above cited, the principal sum to be raided, and the interest thereon, are charged on the Consolidated Revenue of the Colony ; a special block of land of 250,000 acres in extent being set apart as security to the Colony for the amount to be raised. The Tenders will be received and the Debentures issned subject to the undermentioned conditions :—: — 1. The Debentures will be payable to bearor, and will be issued in sums of not loss than One Hundred Pounds each. 2. The Debentures will bear interest at the rate of s percent, per annum, payable half-yearly, on tho loth day of April and the 15th day of October in each year, at the Treasury at Wellington, or at any Branch of the ! Bank of New Zraland in New Zealand, on notice given at the Treasury one month Tiefore the ,• - duo date. - * - 3; The pi'incipal cum will be payable on tbe 15th day of April, 1894, at the Treasury at Wellington, or at nny Branch of the Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand, at the option of tho , holder, six months' notice being required, previous to maturity, .of the place at which payment is desired. 4.
