POLICE COURT.
Thursday, March 2G, 187-I.— Beforo n. E. Kenny, Esq., R.M. Robert Tuffs, of Omnta, was charged under the Vagrant Act with having been guilty of wilfully and obscenely oxposing his person in a place of public rosort, to wit, on the soa bench near the landing place in tho Town of New ■Plymouth, on the 20th February, 1874, to one of a family of young children playing on the beach. Mr. Stnndish conducted the case for the prosecution. The prisoner, who is, botween fifty and sixty years of ago, pleaded not guilty, but the eridonce was most conclusive against him, and it appearing that several cases of similar outrage were all ego J against tho prisoner, he was sentenced by the Court to 9 months' imprisonment with hard labour.
