, j Wangasui Bridge. — The long-talked of bridge over the Biver Wanganui is in a fair way of being erected ac last, lenders for the work having been advertised lor by tho Government of Wellington. It will be an iron truss bridge, supported on iron cylinders. The length of. the bridgo will be about COO feet, with a swing Span. The iron material is supplied, and now lies at Wanganui, as well as the timber, concrete, and other material. Management of Poultry. — A correspondent furnishes an American paper with the following : — I change my roosters every y^ar or two, and am never troubled with the chickens having the gapes. Broken bones increase the supply of eggs. Tobacco stems in the bottom of the roosts are said to keep off lice.
