Webck.—lt seems tolerably certain that the vessel wrecked off this coa^t some weeks a^o, must have been tho Celt, an Auckland built vessel of 40 tons, owned by Mr. Shirley Hill of Auckland. She was trading between Christchurch and Wanganui, with grain; was in the Straits in company with the sohooner Jubilee shortly before the gale, and has not been heard of since. The boat which was washed ashore has been recognised by Captain Fnirchild of the Sturt, and another gentleman, as that belonging to the Celt.
