Tenders for Firewood. 'Quarter Master's Office, Militia and Volunteers, 'New Plymouth, Ist April, 1864. SEALED Tenders, in duplicate, will be received at this dffice until 12 o'clock noon on the 9th instant, for 1000 tons Firewood, to be delivered at the present coal yard under Mount Eliot before the 30th day of June next. The wood to be of TAWA, RATA, or other hard wood, and cut into lengths of four feet; to be stacked by the Contractor, nnd there measured by the regulated measurement of 71 cubic feet (being 'considered equivalent to a ton of 2240 lbs.),"under the supervision of the Quarter Master.
