Original Correspondence.
To the Editor of the taranaki herald.
Sir, — Professional and other avocations have so fully occupied my time that I have not had leisure to accomplish the task which I had imposed upon myself of giving to the public further observations on the prevailing epidemics which have been and still are acting as the great scourge of this country, at this season, of a large proportion of the community. I regret this the more since I consider that the little light that I might be enabled to throw upon the subject must therefore remain obscured. I have, however, committed to paper a considerable portion of what I have to communicate, but not of sufficient extent to send to the press, yet it will facilitate my labours in pursuance of the subject. I am, Sir, yours, &c. Richard Kingdos, M.D. P.S. — I trust that no impediment will hinder me from carrying out my arrangements next week.
