IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," I, James Ritchie, Principal Returning Officer for the Province of Taranaki, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, be.aiing date the 22nd day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one,;issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a legally qualified person to serve as Superintendent for the said Province of Taranaki, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court House in Devonstreet, in the Town of New Plymouth, on Thursday, the twenty-third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty one ; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Friday, the twenty-fourth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty one. IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," I, James Ritchie, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Omata do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the 22nd day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of four legally qualified persons to serve as Members of the Provincial Council of the Province of Taranaki, for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court House in Devonstreet, in the Town of New Plymouth, on Saturday, the twenty -fifth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one ; and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Monday, the twenty-seventh day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.
