Per Airedale—s casks beef, Bayley; 1 pocket hops, Dorset; 2 cases 7 bags malt, Nash & Scaife; 1 paper parcel, Fletcher] 1 case, Greaves; 18 boxes, 4 cases, 1 cask, 1 keg, J. Gilmour. EXrORTS. Per Airedale—6 bullocks, 161 bags grass seed, 4 cases cheese, 10 kegs butter, 31 bags grass seed, 9 kegs butter. The Burmah.—A paiagraph in the shipping intelligence of the Marlborough Press of the 10th instant says:—" The Burmah, which was supposed to be lost, has arrived at Canteibury." Although we shall be tiuly glad to find this to be coriect, we may still doubt it* aocuracy, when we remember that the Airedale was there on that date; hut she brings us no such intelligence. We must consider that the report requiies confirmation, as tho airival of the Buimah must have been some days pievious to the date of that announcement.—Nelson Colonist, February 21. Return or the Steamer Prince Alfred, —The steamer Piince Alfred, which left Sydney on Satuiday night last, for Nelson, New Zealand, returned to poit at 12-30 last night, dismasted. She met with a very heavy gale fiom the S E. on Sun day, which continued during Monday, The violence of the gale carried away her fote'and mizen topmast!., mainmast head, foretopsail, topgallant yard, and split the foresail and jib. She lost fifty-three horses and a number of sheep, and owing to the quantily of water shipped, the cargo is considerably damaged. On Tuesday, at 10 a.m., as there was no appearance of change, Captain Bowden deemed it deniable to make foi Sydney, and anchored opposite the Grafton Wharf at the hour above stated.—Si/dmy Morning Herald, February 16. [The Mails were brought lo Nelson by the Lord Worsley, which left Sydney on the 17th instant, and arrived at Nelson on Thursday.] ENGLISH SHIPPING. For Auckland.—Red Jacket. At Leith. For Otago and Wellington.—Ben Nevis, Truoan. The White Stai clipper Blue Jacket, Capt.Hugh Clarke, belonging to H. T. Wilson and Chambeis, sailed fiom Liverpool, foi Auckland and Wellington, on Nov. 26, with a full and valuablo cargo of merchandise and 229 passengeis, of whom 15 were in the saloon, 60 in the second cabin, and the remainder in the intermediate and steerage. The Red Jacket, belonging to the same lino, sails for Auckland on Jamiiiiy 20.— Home News, Dec. 19. Messis Shaw, Savill, and Co. despatched from Giavesend, on December 3, the Frenchman, one of the Passengers' Line of Packets, and the largest ship ever sent fiom London to New Zealand. She proceeds to Auckland diiect, and carries a valuable cargo and 270 passengers, of whom 39 go in the chief cabin. About 25 single women proceed by her who have been selected by Messis Ridgway, the agents for the piovince, with the view of supplying the great demand in the colony for the services of female domestics.—lbid. Immigrants for New Plymouth per Frenchman repotted to have left the Channel on the 10th Dec. last:—Harriet Sutcliffe, John Hartley, Ann HarriEt Hartley, Robeit Tate, John Hall, Maigaret Hall, Ellen, Frederick, Alfred, William, Herbert and Richard Hall. Mesbis. Sharland, H. E. Newton, and James Craig, are also passengers for New Plymouth.
