THE MDICINE OF THE MILLION. IWjilosoutjj) anfc .dFact. TTOLLOWAY'S PILLS. THE EXCITING CAUSE OF SICKNESS. The blood is the life-sustaining agent. It furnishes the components of flesh, hone, muscle, nerve and integument. The stomach is its manufactory, the veins its distributors, and the intestines the channels through which the waste matter rejected in its production, is expelled. Upon the stomach, the circulation and the bowels, these Pills act simultaneously, relieving indigestion, purifying the fluids, and regulating the excretions. THE NATIONAL COMPLAINT. Dyspepsia is the most common disease among all classes in this country. It assumes a thousand shapes, and is the primary source of innumerable dangerous maladies ; but whatever its type or symptoms, however obstinate to ordinary prescriptions, it yields readily and rapidly to this searching and unerring remedy. BILIOUS AFFECTIONS. The quantity and quality of the bile are of vital importance to health. Upon the liver, the gland which secretes this fluid, the Pills operate specifically, infallibly rectifying its irregularities, and effectually curing Jaundice, Bilious Remittants, and all the varieties of disease generated by an unnatural condition of the organ. A WORD TO FEMALES. The local debility and irregularities which are the especial annoyance of the weaker sex, and which, when neglected, always shorten life, are relieved for the time being and prevented for the time to come, by a course of this mild but thorough alterative. Holloway's Ointment and Pills. — Possessed of these remedies, every Taranaki settler is his own family physician. If his wife and children are troubled with eruptions, soies, white swellings, sore throat, asthma, or any affection of the skin, glands or muscles, a persevering use of the Ointment is all that is. necessary to pioduce a radical cure. If, on the other hand, the internal organs are assailed by disease — whether it be located in the liver, or the intes . tines — he can eradicate it by administering the Pills to the sufferer, under the guidance of the clear dhections which accompany every box. REMARKABLE CURE OF INDIGESTION AND SEVERE PAIN IN THE STOMACH. Copy of a letter from Mr. G. Horsley, Dispensing and Family Chemist, Morriston, near Swansea. Holloway's Pills. — The stomach, by the chemical agency of its solvent fluids, converts the food into ciude blood; the liver furnishes a secretion which fits it for the venous system ; the lungs vitalize it. If the stomach is diseased, it cannot produce a healthful element, and if the fountain of life is infected, all the streams that flow from it must be poisoned. It is upon the stomach, the great feeder of the system, the manufacturer of the ailment which subsequently becomes bone, muscle, sinew, and flesh, that Holloway's Pills exercise their salutary influence, curing indigestion in all its shapes, and thus giving a vigoious tone to every dependent organ. This is the philosophy of the rapid and thorough cures of all the varieties of internal disease accomplished by this powerful remedy ; and which has secured for it an enduring fame all over the Islands of New Zealand and the Continent of Australia.
