The Nelson arrived off thii port on Saturday morning having left Manukau on Friday morning. From the circumstance of ft strong westerly wind blowing she wai not boarded until evening, and it was after dork when her mail was delivered.
The Monarch bni been detainer! in consequence of several of the crew bating escaped to the shore in the ships boat, which has left her scarcely half manned. Wo regret the circumstance the more that she lias boon favoured with remarkably fine weather during her stay now exceeding a fortnight, and hni landed her cargo without having had occasion to lift her anchor since her arrival.
